still considers it a horrible site, which was basically a long form sales copy–something
you never see on software. Usually you just see details, a quick description and screen
shots, because that’s all you need to sell software. This first software venture cost him
only $850 to develop, yet he sold over $2.3 million worth of software to over 70,000
customers. How in the world did he go from $850 invested to over $2 million in sales?

Trey Smith doesn’t know anything about software programming, but a few months
ago he created a piece of software called Landing Page Robot that allows you to get on
Google without getting slapped. By the end of December 2010, it reached over $100,00
in sales after just two months! One month after Trey’s initial idea for Landing Page
Robot, he had the finished product, the Landing Page Robot software. The interesting
thing about the Landing Page software that’s totally different from his first software
is that he did not hire someone to program it. He did a licensing deal. He bought the
resale rights so he could sell software that someone else made. According to Trey Smith,
there are thousands of opportunities just like this one out there. All you have to do is get
the rights so you can do it yourself. He didn’t have to go through the pain of having it
developed. He just picked up the rights and sold it after someone else did the hard work.
It cost only $3,000 and made $100,000 in just two months.
